Can you make Outlook have no default email address?

I'm wondering if there is a way to have no default email address. I have
more than one email, one for personal use and one for business. I find that I
forget to change the account I'm sending from. I would like Outlook to force
me to select the account I'm using before I can send an email. Is there a way
to do that?

No, but you could use VBA to confirm the account after you hit send. See
outlookcode.com for code samples.

Setting the sending account by VBA is quite simple since OL07: See the
MailItem.SendUsingAccount property.

If you also want to use the signature assigned to the chosen account, it
becomes more complicated.

If you're looking for a ready-to-use solution, please see VBOffice SAM. For
details see the link in my signature.

The only way you can ensure you are using the correct account is to be
in the inbox of that account. I have noticed that OL always using that
account in priority to your default account. The purpose of the default
account, in my opinion, is to enable you to click and reply to contact
details on webpages where they have hyperlink to their email account.

Dunno where you get that from. I have two IMAP accounts with (obviously)
separate inboxes and it doesn't matter which one I'm in, if I click on "New"
it sends by default from the DEFAULT email account unless I manually change
it. That's always been the case in Outlook AFAIK...

And please change your Sig. RFC says FOUR lines only.
