Can you Lock a Due Date in Assigned Outlook Tasks

We want to use Outlook's " request task " function to
assign tasks to subordinate employees (and then to monitor
task completion and tabulate tasks that were completed
timely, etc.) But we want to assign a due date for the
requested task that the employee cannot change. Is there
a way to " freeze " the due date, so that the due date
cannot be changed by the person who is requested to
perform the task? Outlook seems to allow the person who
is asked to do the task (i.e., the task owner) to change
the due date to whatever date he or she wants. When the
task owner changes the due date, the Tasks window of the
person who requested the task is updated, without notice
to the requester, to reflect the new/modified due date
that the task owner has changed it to.

Can the due date be frozen, or is there some other way of
avoiding this problem?

(thanks to C,Smailer - I have copied his ealier question as there were
no replies)
