Hi,

After I installed windowxp sp1, my machine run slowly and
also I have a contant problem with my internet access now.
Its disconnects automatically at any time it wishes and in
the msn messenger if i try to login again it says you are
behind a firewall and i check all the setting of firewall
and I have never enabled firewall on my machine before or
not and there is no other firewall program on my machine..
which stops it. I run AVG antivirus but it runs fine even
before i installed sp1. I did restore my machine to a
previous date bacoz of this stupid xp problem but it seems
the problem is not going and after every half an hour on
internet it gives me the sample problem as it logs me out
of messenger and internet and say that i am behind a
firewall... It was working fine and then suddenly the
firewall. Its really irritating &(&(&#(&%...

Can anybody suggest any solution so that my internet doe
snot disconnect and I can use my msn and yahoo messenger
with web cam on always...

I have the same problem. I have read in other messages here (see duplicate contacts) about this, that installing the latest version of msn messenger seem to fix this(sort of). I did this and it seem to cut down the amount of times I get the message when using windows messenger, but I still get them from time to time

I notice that windows messenger seems to have problem shutting down alot when logging off, even with a new install. There is a problem somewhere, but it doesn't seem to be one that people know how to get working properly

Maybe this will help you in the short term, until the problem can be addressed by someone with a proper solution.
