Can you hear that? Yes? Well I cant!

's Computer Specifications

I recently upgraded my PC from Windows 98 to Windows XP
Professional. And now I have no sound! It was working
perfectly that day but now I cant hear a thing! A tried
reinstalling driver fom the intenet but had no success.
So I bought a brand new sound card but still, nothing!
And I know its not something simple like my speakers are
not plugged in because ive gone down every road finding a
dead end at each one. Any help would be good. Thakns
