Hi all,

I'm using Office 2000 Pro with PowerPoint. I would like to know if it
is possible to embed an MP3 file directly into my presentation so that the
presentation could be sent as an email attachment and have the MP3 go with
it. I want to send it to my son in the millitary. If I convert the MP3 to
a .wav it makes the email attachment too large.
Is there any way to get around the problem of having the MP3 "linked" to
my computer? What a hassle! I've increased the "Link sound with file size
greater than" to a value larger than my MP3 but that didn't help, either.
If you can tell me there is a way to do this I guarantee you will make
my day!

No, afraid not. The only media that may be embeded is wav files. All
others are always linked.

You might want to check here, and see how to change the header information of
you MP3 file into thinking that it is a WAV file and can be embedded into your

Michael,

It works!! Thanks for the tip on nice Cdex utility to change the MP3 header
to a .wav header. I can now embed the file directly into my presentation.
This was fantastic! Thanks again.
