Can WMM2 do simple Editing on MPEG files?

's Computer Specifications

I have several .mpg files (mpeg1) that I captured with my ATI AIW 9000 from the TV (using
ATI's MMC 8.5 and the ATI Catalyst 3.6 Radeon Drivers).

I'd like to remove some commercials .... would WMM2 work as a simple video editor for these
mpeg1 files?
