What you did just reinstalled Windows without deleting any files already on
the hard drive. If you would like to perform a clean install of Windows,
first backup any data you need from the current installation and then boot
to the installation cd. At the point when it asks to what partition you
would like to install Windows, have it delete the current partition that
Windows is on. Then you can have it install to the blank space and it will
create a new partition for you. You can quick format it with NTFS and when
the install is through, only Windows will be on the hard drive.
