just loaded outlook 2007 (used to have older outlook) & i no longer see the
website "favorites" icon in the toolbar area. is there any way to add it to
the outlook emial page?

You can add menu items to the Menu bar (including Favorites) or add a button
to a toolbar. Right click any toolbar and click Customize, then the Commands
tab.
