Hi there

can we use Unix like Solaris as the application server, and put Unix database on server side, while the client application is still in .Net?

Thanks.

Your database server can pretty much be whatever you want it to be. I've
developed .NET apps using PostGres and MySQL on a Linux server. I've seen
it done with Oracle (yeah, like I can afford that). However, the
application must be run on a windows machine with the proper .net framework
installed.
