What hacker? How is your network secured?
You also need to store at least some backup media offsite - so if you're
using hard drives for backup, you need more than one. If you have a flood,
fire, plague of locusts in your office, your backups won't do you a lick of
good if they get waterlogged, melted, or eaten.

I'm sure there's some way to do this (what happens if you scan for new
hardware in device manager?), but if the only reason you're doing it is to
protect the data, you're going down the wrong path.
