How can I use previous installation's bookmarks?

My Windows Me died.

I installed new harddisk as primary and made the original
hard disk secondary drive. I reinstalled Windows Me
through rescue disk. Everything works fine other than ...

Because my outlook express and IE6 installations were
lost,I lost all stored mail and bookmarks. I can still
access all the files of the old drive.

Where are bookmarks for IE stored? How can I make my new
installation learn my old bookmarks?

I think my mistake was not to have these data exported at
first place.

Thanks in advance,
-Bhushit

They are stored in a folder called Favorites, possibly
C:\Windows\Favorites but that can vary.
Copy the contents of the old Favorites folder to the new Favorites
folder.

In OE got to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and see where OE
is currently storing its data files.
Now, go to Start | Find (or Search) and look for *.dbx (with Win2K and WinXP
and probably Win2K3 you will have to set the search to include hidden files
and folders).
If they are found in a different place go back to OE and use
File | Import | Messages.
Select Outlook Express 5 (or 6, they are the same for this purpose).
Select the lower radio button to import from an Outlook Express store
directory and navigate to the location that OE is not using.

Also, see this article:
