Can I use my camcorder's USB port to save my 48 minute movie?

I'm trying to save my 48 minute movie to my Panasonic DV camcorder via the
USB port on the camera. I have two problems:

1. Movie maker tells me that I don't have enough memory on the temporary
storage device C: to save the movie. I have nearly 8 GB of free space on the
C: drive.

2. I have the camera cabled to the PC via USB. I can capture video but I
can't save the movie via USB. Do I have to purchase a fire wire card and
cable? Also, my camera only has a USB and a DV jack. Is there any way to
reconfigure it to produce firewire output?

Thanks,

Brian

The DV jack on your camcorder is firewire. Yes, you'll need to purchase a
PCI firewire card and cable for your PC.

..... and with DV being 13 GB per hour, Movie Maker is right about you not
having enough free space
