Within autofilter/ custom you can use two conditional criteria. Is there a
way I can set up to filter data by looking at a string for more than 2
(ideally up to 10) smaller text strings possibly contained in the longer
string?

I've checked the Advance Filter out and understand how it can be be used. I
guess I should have been more specific in the question (!) since I need to
able to use the "contains" criteria that is in the custom filter and not the
advanced . I'm searching a test base string with another string........ any
ideas?
