Can I use merge to create 3x5 question and answer flash cards?

The cards will have 3 fields: question; answer; source. Some of the data
will be several lines long. I tried to merge onto a 3x5 index card label but
couldn't get the field to accept more than one line of data.

I recently switched from WordPerfect and am thoroughly confused.

What did you use to set up the "fields"? Generally, in Word we'd use a
three-column table?
