You will need the HP drivers for the auto-feeder to
function... Talk to Office Max, they owe you the correct
CD.
You must install it according to the directions, software
first and the install will prompt you when to plug the USB
in the first time.
If you plugged the USB cable in at any time before it was
prompted, you will have to remove all the related hardware
and software and do a clean install.
You will get a icon "HP Director" and that is your gateway
into the scanner.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 is about $80-100 and has
excellent properties and does do import from a scanner.
