Can I use the function of RSS without IE7?

I downloaded IE7 before, but I really don't like the style of it, too shiney
outline and too much like the Firefox, the mode is unlike the traditional
style. but I would really like the internal function of RSS, Is it necessary
to upgrade to IE7 if I want it?
