I'm part of a non-profit company designed to help artists and actors.

I need to design a site that can host 300-500 5-10 min video clips.

I need to know...what software can help me design this and howmuch storage
should I get with my hosting site?

Thanks any info is greatly appreciated.

Mike,

FrontPage can certainly handle the managing of the web fine, but with that
many videos and the standard size of videos, there are to many unknown issues
to give you a definitive answer, but here are some suggestions.

1- Determine how you plan to distribute the Videos (True Streaming or http
streaming

2- Determine the format .wmv, .mov, .mpeg, etc..

3- Create a couple sample clips to check your quality and file size

Remember how you present your videos will determine how you rip them.

Once you have a couple videos created, take the file size and multiply it by
the quantity, which will give you a ballpark on the space you'll need.

With that many videos and the average length of the video, your big concern
should be the bandwidth allowed by the host.

You also may want to consider a dedicated streaming server for your music.

As a cross browser alternative consider using flash for your video clips

Safe to say the storage requirement would be HUGE.
