Can I use Business Contact manager when using exchange server

I setup outlook with B.C.M but when i signed on using my VPN server it
appeared to disappear. Any thoughts or HELP!!!

I read somewhere that Exchange needs to be set in cached mode to work
with BCM. And only BCM v2 works with Exchange.

Any luck with the VPN setup. I can't get it running at all.
Seems like an MSDE connect issue perhaps? Do you also see MSDE running & not
connected to the server/other db?
