Hi,

I am planning to buy a motherboard that supports single 1GB DDR2700. I
aim is to have 2GB RAM
I am looking at ASUS motherboard and chipset(KT600 or nForce2 SPP)

According to http://www.nvidia.com/content/nForce...patibility.asp
nForce2 SPP supports single 1GB DDR2700 DDR.

By looking http://www.via.com.tw/en/ddr/ddrval.jsp,
i do not think KT600 supports single 1GB DDR2700 DDR.

Does the above statements correct?
I am planning to buy ASUS A7N8X Deluxe beacuse its nForce2 SPP
chipset.
I have read somepeople complaining that speed reduced by 50% as soon
as they applied 1GB memory stick.
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=1G...8.1.177&rnum=3

So I am not sure whether to go with single 1GB memory stick. I will be
using Samsung memory.

Pls suggest me one best choice among following combinations.
a) 1GB + 1GB
b) 1GB + 512 + 512
c) 512 + 512 + 512
d) 1GB + 512

I am going to use AMD XP2500+

Another question is should I go with PC2700 or PC3200 DDR?
Can I take FULL advantage 2GB memory when I use PC3200 DDR?

Thanks
Ramesh
