Is it possible to upgrade Outlook 2003 with Outlook 2007 without purchasing
2007 Microsoft Office Suite? If so, what is the average price for the
upgrade? And what are the pro's and con's between Outlook 2003 and Outlook
2007?

you can certainly buy a stand alone version of outlook, outlook requires the
same version of word, if you want to use that with outlook.
The price depends on your location, I'm not sure whether there is an outlook
only upgrade.

I wouldn't buy an upgrade; buying a copy of OL2007 is better;
OL 2007 has more features and there's no limitations on the pst file
though there are still bugs
in the long run, the investment is worth the initial cost

not sure whether OL2007 is still available for trial, but keep a copy of the
OL2003 pst just in case you don't like OL2007

Yes.

Widely variant. Google for the best prices. Best Buy, Office Max, and
Office Depot, for example, all have it for US $109.

Word is the ONLY mail editor for Outlook 2007 and it will include its own
cut-down version of Word if you purchase the stand-alone Outlook. I don't
think you will be able to perform integrated tasks like mail merge and I
don't think spell check will work (but I'm not sure).

Outlook 2007 has a few features I prefer over 2003, like the To Do bar. The
ribbons take some acclimation. I think colored categories are a big plus.
Calendar printing is broken.
