My ID was down-graded to "user" in Windows 2K system by MIS. Now I could not
install any software which will write the registry. I tried many ways to
upgrade my ID to local administrators group but failed. Now I am searching a
way to do either of the following:
1. Get the password of the local administrators (the hacker software could
not be installed)
2. Add my ID to the local admin. group.
Can anyone show me some tips? Thanks a lot

You are asking the wrong people. If you have been blocked out its for a
reason & therefore no one will give you any pointers here, but you may get
help on the security newsgroup. Although, I think everyone will say the same
thing

Tip, if you violate your employer's policies, be prepared to lose
your job.
