With windows XP I had outlook setup so that when you open e-mail you are
prompted for which e-mail account you want to open. I had three different
profiles(one for myself, wife , and child). In XP you would set this up by
going to control panel, then users accounts, then mail and then show
profiles where you could create as many profiles as you like. I've tried
looking through every menu and option in the control panel of vista but see
nothing like it there. Does anyone else know of a way to create e-mail
profiles in vista?

(In case anyones wondering I do realize that you can add as many accounts to
windows mail or outlook through tools and then accounts, but this way
everyone's e-mail is lumped together which really sucks. And no I don't
want to create individual user accounts through Vista. It is an obvious
choice but, I prefer to have everyone using the same account. It's much
easier to manage files and much less clutter on the pc's hard drive and
other resources.)

The profiles were called Identities.

That feature was removed from Windows Mail in favor of Windows accounts.

A work around can be found at http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/Default.aspx
