How can I tell which service pack I have installed in XP Home?

To run a particular piece of software on XP I have been adivised that I need
to have Service Pack 1 installed.
In the Windows registry I have lots of entries under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP1
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP2
but does this guarantee that I have installed SP1?

Thanks.
Frank.

Hi Frank

From Start>Run type in 'winver' - without the quotes. You can find out from
the screen that appears which version of XP you have.

installed is to go to windows update let them scan your
system and see if SP1 is listed after the scan.
Those other entries you mention are hotfixes.

Thanks MAP. That worked perfectly!
I'm now upgraded to SP1.
Frank.

Thanks, Will. That was useful. I've now upgraded to SP1 and winver confirms
that.
Cheers,
Frank.
