Try repairing the registry entries for the .DLL files used by
activation:
Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll
Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
If that does not resolve the issue then copy the following two files
from the \Windows\System32 folder to a removable drive or device
(diskette, CDR/RW, USB flash drive, etc) and then delete them:
wpa.dbl
wpa.bak
Reboot the computer. You will again be prompted to activate and this
time it should stick.
