When you have installed XP change the setting back.
You must remember that the default setting is usually the recommended setting and that branded computers / laptops are usually loaded via a sys prep image on the hard-disk.

yes this laptop came with prep image on the harddrive and no cd came with it.
Just a cheap way for company saving money.
Think the only way am going to get this to work is a re-load cd for xp do can,t be ass.
Windows 7 works fine on it so there no worry there if i upgrade.
