By determining the bottleneck and improve on that;
-how many mails are you sending?
-how large is a single email?
-what's your line speed?
-do you have a virus scanner integrated with Outlook?
-what type of mail account are you using?
-what is the resource capacity of the mail server and how much is available
to you?
-etc...
