Can someone send me the Active-X?

Why does the Security Bar Shield stay yellow and give me no choice to
download this Active-X I need from the MS site? I added the site to the
SAFE ZONE. When I right click on the bar all I get is a tiny window that
says "Information Bar Help" and there is no Active-X choice or information
on AX there at all. How do I get this Active-X since the security bar
doesn't work? Can someone send it to me by e-mail? If not, can someone
tell me how to DISABLE the bar long enough to get the Active-X . I have it
set in security so it should download.

FROM THE WEBSITE: "Install the ActiveX control required to view the website
The website will not display correctly on your computer without this
control. To install it:
1. Right-click the Internet Explorer Information Bar. It's located just
below the address bar.
2. In the right-click menu, click Install ActiveX Control.
3. In the Security Warning dialog box, click Install."
Note: If the Information Bar doesn't appear, or if you've installed the
control but still can't use the website, take these steps to solve the
problem.
Example: Internet Explorer Information Bar with right-click menu...........

There is nothing there covering this problem of the yellow shield and no
choices on right click.

FS~

How about you create a new account on that computer, a fresh
Administrator type account and then try it.

Are you running ANY firewall product?

Are you behind a firewall appliance?

This isn't meant to be a facetious comment; but judging by your numerous
posts/problems have you thought about starting with a completely fresh
install.
Something is obviously not quite right with your sys, unless you are
visiting some really dubious web sites, or running some very iffy software.
You might want to start with a hard disk checking utility, from your hd
Manu.web site.
Also memtest86, run it overnight for an exhaustive test of your memory.
The various utilities advertised for system checking are generally best
avoided, unless you know 'exactly' what you are doing.

Here are 2 links to test your settings. On the first link click on one of
the demo's at the bottom of the page, the information bar should pop up,
accept it and you should see video. If you do then your active X is working.
The second link tells you how to configure it.

I suspect I know what your problem is but if you keep listening to leythos
and those MVP's you will never get it fixed. You've had these issues way too
long.

Then why not just post your solution? It may help others as well.

Because the OP has chosen to follow the advice of others who are now just
guessing as to what the problem is (with the exception of Shenan who has
helped) She has four different posts in several NGs everybody is telling her
the same thing which is not working. I gave her the fix a few weeks ago in
another group but she said she did not see it. She needs to follow my advice
and post the results before I answer.

And since you didn't post it again, here, for the world to see, she
won't see it again either, so you've not done much to help. Typical of a
troll.
