How can someone redirect my website without my knowledge?

Recently our business website (created in FrontPage 2003 with Windows XP) was
redirected to another site for a couple of hours then went back to normal.
How does this happen and what can be done to prevent it?

You need to contact your web host or DNS provider, if self hosting.
