It doesn't work because your keyboard is obviously bereft of the shift key
and all punctuation keys...

Control Panel -> System

This will tell you what service pack (SP1 or SP2) you have installed.

What message and what SP1 is the MP3 asking about, is it IE SP1 or XP? SP1?.
Here is a link for both:
http://search.microsoft.com/results....US&PageType=99
Or you can Run the updates Engine by doing this:
Click Start >> All Programs >> Double click the glob labelled Windows
Updates at the top of the menu and run the update from MS site and see what
updates you missed.

Now I understand why you defended Uncle Grumpy as you are a Moron as well
:-)

Does the above statement you made mean that you are bereft of a brain and a
heart as well?

I've never heard of MP3 files asking for a service pack, or even
requiring them to play.

You can update your machine by visiting: http://update.microsoft.com

Other than that, consider installing a MP3 player, such as WinAmp
(http://www.winamp.com)

What do you mean by a new mp3 - a new audio file in mp3 format or an mp3
player? If a player what is the make/model? What are the specific error
messages that appear and what are you doing that causes it (them) to appear?
