Can someone....PLEASE HELP ME!! I run a small business.
I have been using Outlook 2002 since I bought this
computer in 2002. Everything had been going fine until a
few weeks ago I started using Outlook Express. Big
mistake!!

Since then, I am unable to send/rececive messages through
Outlook 2002, but Outlook Express works fine. Outlook
Express and Outlook full version are integrated someway.
I can't do anything with emails on the full version of
Outlook now. It seems as if Outlook Express has taken
over.

Even when I try to send an email and use a particular
account in Outlook...nothing is there in the dropdown
menu...even though all my email addresses, etc are
stored. But...Outlook Express seems to be running great!!
How in the world can I get rid of Outlook Express and
just use my full version of Outlook to send and receive
emails??? Please help me!! Outlook Express is totally
destroying everything.

I have all the patches, updates, etc. I even went to the
Microsoft help desk to see how to uninstall Outlook
Express. It was a nightmare. Can someone please help me?
You may email me at (E-Mail Removed). PLEASE!

We saw your first post of this, too. This is the third one I've seen.

Don't try to uninstall OE, Outlook requires it to render HTML emails. Open
IE and select Tools, Internet Options. On the Programs tab make sure that
Outlook is listed for everything and not OE. See if that helps.

What is the exact error message in Outlook?

What, specifically, is the 'dropdown' menu you refer to? Which one?

What does the title bar on that menu say? What kind of account is the
"particular" account (IMAP, POP, Exchange?)

I don't do private support, let's keep this in the newsgroups. First make
sure again that on the programs tab of IE's Tools, Internet Options menu you
have the email, newsgroups, calendar and contact list set to Microsoft
Outlook.

Then open Outlook and run the Help, Detect and Repair menu option. Make sure
that you have your Office CD handy in case the repair asks for that. Then
open the Mail applet in the Control Panel and select the Profiles button.
Add a new profile and set up your email accounts exactly as you have them
now. Don't copy an existing profile, create a new one from scratch. Set it
to be the default profile you use. Also, make sure that you set it to use
the same PST file you now use.

Then when you finish that open Outlook again. In the Folder List or on the
Outlook Bar right-click on your Contacts folder and select Properties and go
to the Outlook Address Book tab. Make sure the folder is checked to be an
Outlook Address Book. Repeat for each contacts folder you want to use for
addressing emails.

See if that helps.
