My computer has been freezing a lot. At first I thought it my cordless
Logitech mouse that I just got, so I uninstalled the drivers and
restarted the computer. The problem persists, probable not the mouse
drivers.

In the even viewer, under system, I noticed a reoccurring error listed
every time my computer froze. I thought to myself that this has to be
the culprit... the only problem is that I have absolutely no idea what
the description means. The information is as follows:

Date: 1/19/2007 Source: Service Control Manager
Time: 10:41:36 PM Category: None
Type: Error Event ID: 7000
User: N/A
Computer: blah,blah,blah

Description:

The Active Common Service service failed to start due to the following
error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The problem is, I don't know what "The Active Common Service service"
(yes, it really does say "service" twice) is. Can anybody out there
shine some light on this problem?
