can i shift my outlook files to another computer. inbox, contacts

I have a new computer and would like all of my old emails and contacts to be
copied to the new computer from the old one. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible, and there are several ways to achieve it. Easiest
by using the 'File and Settings Transfer Wizard', or 'Windows Easy
Transfer for Windows XP'. Google finds many information on both tools.

Otherwise, if you know the location of your PST file, just copy the file
to the new computer, then open it with Outlook.
