I have two computers running XP Pro on a home wired/wireless network--n
domain, just work group. I have enabled file/folder sharing on bot
computers giving access to "everybody" and access right down to th
root level of my hard drive. I can access my whole laptop from my P
with out any problem.

However, when I try to access my PC from my laptop I keep getting th
same message: eg. "\\Joy\my pictures on joy is not accessible. Yo
might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact th
administrator of this srver to find out if you have access permissions
Not enough server storage is available to process this command"

I don't understand (obviously) since I am the administrator and sign o
as such. There is no server on this home network. On my laptop I hav
done all the XP updates EXCEPT SP2. On the PC that I can't access fro
the laptop over the network, I had transiently installed SP2, and late
uninstalled it. I had never tried to get access to the PC befor
loading SP2, so I don't know if that had any effect or not.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Chuc

That error message is misleading. The problem is probably that an
antivirus program on the PC has changed an obscure TCP/IP setting.
Please see this Microsoft Knowledge Base article for a likely
solution, specifying a value of 15 for IRPStackSize on the PC:

Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group
for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions

I am also having the same problem, but after changing the stack size, I've
not seen any change. Kinda frustrating that this is working for everyone
else but me... hmmm
