You need Outlook 2003 or newer, set up accounts under Tools / email Accounts,
BUT it will not work with the free versions of Yahoo and Hotmail.

Hotmail yes, as long as you a) install Outlook Connector and b) either have
a paid-for Hotmail account or convert your free account to a Live Hotmail
account.
GMail, yes - just see Help in GMail for how to do it.
Yahoo no not generally unless you have either a paid-for Yahoo account, or a
Yahoo UK or FR account. (There may be third-party add-ins that will allow
you to get your Yahoo email in Outlook).

Not QUITE correct. free hotmail accounts WILL work in Outlook as long as
they are Live Hotmail and the Outlook Connector is installed...

Yes, with the Outlook Connector.

yes, either as POP or IMAP.

Only if it's a paid account or a non-American Yahoo domain.

Phil,
There is a free third party program called !YPops (formally called
YahooPops), that will work with free (E-Mail Removed), and I believe
(E-Mail Removed) accts.
It will work with Outlook 2000 & Outlook 2003, and Outlook Express 6.0.

Download !YPops:
http://ypopsemail.com

Make sure that you read the instructions carefully before installing, you
will need to change the settings for the servers, and acct UserID's in
Outlook's email acct settings. Now every once in awhile Yahoo will alter
their mail servers, and you will need to update this program. The
individuals that maintain this application, are very good in keeping it up
to date.
