Can I setup AutoArchive so certain categories are never archived?

I use Outlook 2007 on Vista Biz.

I would like to use AutoArchive on everything since I use a laptop, but I
want to exclude not folders, but categories; for instance, I do not want to
autoarchive anything with the category of "Registration/Login Info". This
sounds like a prime use for categories, but nowhere in Outlook 2007 can I
find anything even remotely like this other than excluding FOLDERS. Any
help? Tips? Tricks? Work-arounds?

BTW, the Archive file will be stored on the home LAN, to free up laptop
drive space (duh).

Similarly, Can this archive include HoTMaiL items also or do I have to do
those separately and manually? (I use both HTML mail and POP3) - NOT
Exchange at all...

All replies are appreciated; only those that are serious, and offer real
suggestions are truly read and responded to, however.

No, you cannot do that but you can exclude individual items from being
archive by setting the Do not Archive attribute on the item. Open the item
and press the Office Logo-> Properties

AutoArchive only works on your default folder set. For other folder sets
you'll have to use File-> Archive...
