I am setting up an internal site for work. is there any way to link front
page to a file comtaining files. These files are mainly excel worksheets
supplied by customers stored by individual customers name. Sso the main file
would be the heading, with the files in it, the customes names, then the work
books relating to that customer. or is ther another way i can get around
this problem.

Allow directory browsing on the server and then link to a folder containing the files.

As long as everyone has permissions to the network share just copy the
address location of the files from Windows Explorer and then create a
hyperlink and paste that in. Ex: //servername/filelocation/
