I have some programs installed and I can see their folders in windows explorer
and in my C drive, but when I open " All programs" from the start menu ,
they are not there. What I need to do so I can see all my installed programs
when I open the Start/All programs menu?

I have sort of the same problem, Shenan, but it's the physical format
of he screen when I click on"All Programs"......I see all the programs
in two columns of identified little icons to click on, plus a
third column where I can only just barely see their icons and can't
tell which icon is for what program. I'd love to reformat them into
more coumns or somehow get them all into the window........

Similar thing - make sub-folders as needed in the All Users' Start Menu and
your Start Menu.

Thanks, Shenan. I found where the Start Menus are; now
I have to figure out how to do as you suggest.

Encore une fois:

Thank you again, Shenan. I read both URLs and quickly and
easily learned what to do. Now I have half as many icons
cluttering up my desktop, only one and a half columns
of items in my Start Menu, and several of those open up to
sets of more or less related programs now grouped for
easy selection. Wish I'd asked a coupla years agO!!
