Hello: Using FP 2003 - I have a fairly small table on each page of a 50
page website, which now needs to be replaced with a different table. Is this
possible - without going into each page and changing it manually?

This is approximately the size of the table that will be replaced - and it
will definitely not fit on the normal one line in the Search & Replace text
box.

HI! Yes, there is a small tools call "search and replace" that can change
your tables for you. depending on your situation you may have too do a bit
of reading into it. but its great for large scale replacing and editing.

If your table are all the same size then it will be a breeze..

I don't know about doing a search and replace, but 50 pages isn't much, and
you could go through them in less than half an hour. Here's what you can do:

Put the new table on a page by itself and save the page. Then, one by one,
go through your pages, select the old table, and then go to >insert>file and
insert the page with the new table over the old table. It will replace the
old table and will not add anything. You can also put >insert>file on your
toolbar. Each time you use this command, it will open the last folder that
you used, so it is convenient.

If you frequently or occasionally need to replace this table, then instead
of using the insert command, use >insert>web component>included page. You
can also put this command on the toolbar, but it is not as convenient as the
>insert command because it will not open each time in the last folder used.
You have to start at the root folder each time.

If you use the >include command, then whenever you want to change the table,
you just have to change it on its own page, and all the other pages will
change. If you have FP extensions on your site, then you just have to upload
the new table-page, and all the other pages will be changed on the site.

FrontPage. So I now have a new world of possibilities, plus my life working
with FrontPage is going to be easier. I've printed out your answers for

Actually, Claude, that is completely unnecessary. FrontPage 2003 has all the
search and replace functionality you could possibly use, including the
ability to search and replace using Regular Expressions, which is what I
would recommend in your case.
