Too long to explain here but can one configure the screensaver or desktop
lock-up such that either requires a password different from the log-in
password of the current user on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine?
Regards and TIA

Oh gosh stock, I don't think so. But I am sure with third party software
this is possible.

This can be done through a custom screensaver. You can program a
screensaver which does not require the log-in password but e.g. a
specific key-code.

I had the same request for my screensaver: the customer has lots of PCs
in their shop and they don't want their customers to play with the PCs -
but they do not want to type the windows password to unlock. My
screensaver locks the PCs after some minutes - and the clerks can
"unlock" the PCs typing e.g. ctrl-shift x (or whatever they like).

Regards

Dirk
