How can I save my DRM Licensed .wma file in MP3 format?

How can I save my DRM Licensed .wma music files as .mp3
files so I can listen to them on my Kyocera 7131 Palm OS
Phone? My phone only plays mp3 files and I tried using
some 3rd party conversion tools but the tools say the DRM
Licensed .wma file can not be saved as or converted to
an .mp3 file format.

If this is how DRM works, this is ridiculous. I can not
listen to my music on my portable phone because I can not
save the files as .mp3 files? There has to be a method to
support users requiring this feature. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, the MP3 format does not have the ability to have DRM. And the whole
point of DRM or Digital Rights Management is to limit what you can do with
the media. Theirs nothing ridiculous about it. DRM is meant to protect the
rights of the artists. And it's doing its job.

It's the same thing with a protected iTunes file. You must burn it to a CD, and
then rip that as an MP3. Yes, it's a pain.

Tell Apple, INC. that .mp3s cannot be managed via DRM. I recently
downloaded some files via iTunes, and attempted to convert them to .wma
format. The conversion was unsuccessfull, and the error I subsequently
received was to the effect that "protected files cannot be converted."

How do you do that? When I burn them, and then try to rip
it again using Roxio, it still rips them as .wma files.

Yeah, it's doing a great job. Nobody can use the files.
That's Microsoft for ya.
