How can I save mail locally?

When people try to send me mail they get a failure delivery message saying
that my mailbox is full. I deleted all my emails from my folder.

Would saving my mail or having my mail be automatically saved locally
resolve this issue? If so, can someone guide me through the process of saving
my mail locally. Thanks!

If you leave email on the server, depending on the storage limits imposed by
your email service provider, you will run out of space, sooner, or later.
Your only option is to cut down the email stored on that server to make room
for new email.

If this is an IMAP account, you need to copy the email you want to save to a
local storage folder. I don't know how that works in MS Outlook, because I
don't use it. But there is surely a folder hierarchy, in Outlook, which is
not synched with the folders on the server. You need to move the email to
that folder hierarchy.

If this is a POP3 account, and you marked Outlook to leave messages on the
server, you just need to thin out the messages which are still on the
server. POP3 folders in the client are, by the definition of the POP3
protocol, "local".
