How can I run a Win 3.1 app under XP?

I have a great old CD on musical instruments from the long ago defunct
Microsoft Home collection. However, I can't even get it to install under Win
XP(SP3). Is there any way I can run this CD?

Find a functioning 386 or 486 at a second-hand shop?

You can install Windows 3.1 in DOSBox ( http://www.dosbox.com/ ) (free)
