I will buy the 2007 if it will run a 2000 db etc that I must use. But
otherwise will not. Can whone advise me if it will run and will I be able
to redesign it with 2007?

Yes, Access 2007 can maintain 2000 and 2002 versions. It will open 97 but not
change 97 databases.

Yes with no redesign other than if you are using menus. See Jeff
Conrad's page How do I get my existing legacy menu bars and toolbars
to work in Access 2007? Right now they all show up on the Add-Ins tab.
