How can I retain embedded object with voting button reply?

Outlook 2000 - I would like to retain the embedded object, which is a brief
Excel spreadsheet, with the email returned to me via the use of the "Approve"
voting button. The user is reviewing an attached file and 'signing' and
dating on the spreadsheet, then clicking the "Approve" voting button to
return his approval to me for recording. I need the embedded object
(spreadsheet with the date and approval signature) to be retained with the
Approval email.
