Can I restart slide numbering for each section?

I have a very large PowerPoint presentation that I have broken into sections
for easier reference. I would like to restart the slide numbering at 1 at
the start of each section. Then I can use Section/Number for page numbers
(i.e., 1-2, 1-2, etc.) I tried creating new custom layouts for each section,
but that didn't work.

Hi Lotharian

I don't believe that is possible. One workaround would be to make each
section a separate file and then link the last slide of one section to the
first slide of the next section. Use 'normal' page numbering but add a text
box to the master that says 'section X', or something similar.

This isn't a free answer but the 14 day demo may be all you need

Hi, John,

What happens when someone (e.g., a client) who does not have the add-in gets the file? Can they print the file with each section starting with page 1?

Thanks
