How can I request a 'read receipt'?

The previous response given on this subject advised to click on View/Options,
but there is not an 'Option' option under 'View'

Click to open a New mail and then click Options. there you can tick the
option to get a read receipt

You should consider the fact that most people never send the receipt back.
It is the recipent's option.
