How can I remove a phantom CDROM drive

I replaced my DVD reading CDROM drive with a new DVD writer a few weeks ago
and recently when I look at my hardware I find that I seem to have gained
another CDROM drive. I have two hard drives C: and D: my normal CD R/W CDROM
drive E: and my DVD writer E: but I also seem to have a phantom CD R drive
at G:

When I look at the properties of this 'new' drive I get the following

FvF-Inc CDDVD-2003-200xSCSI CdRom Device

How can I remove this phantom drive ? I have a SCSI card in my PC but it is
used to drive my Scanner and all of my drives are IDE ones.

THANKS for any information, Dan.
