Can I reinstall/download Windows XP Media without a disk?

I purchased my Acer Aspire 5634WLMi about 18month ago.
Although I was running AVG Antivirus, my Acer was infected by a virus to the
extent it rendered it useless. I had no choice but to delete everything from
the hard drive, all programs and windows to clear it with the intention of
then doing a clean reinstallation.
My laptop came with preinstalled Window XP Media Center Edition 2005
XPM01.012 . The Product Key is labelled on my laptop so I have that.
Unfortunately as my laptop did not come with any installation discs so I have
now lost the lot!

To get me up and running again, I have now installed Windows XP Home
Edition, from disk (as this was all I had available on disk)

Can I now download Windows XP Media Center To enable me to gat back the
original operating system I paid for?

Cheers Andy..............

If there was no media, then perhaps there was a hidden partition?

Contact Acer for directions. They should supply you with some means of
recovery whether it be via disks or the recovery partition.
