removing an address book from my desktop , inadvertently I eliminated all my
Accessories. Accessibilty,Communications, Entertainment, System tools, all
show empty.
How can I reinstall them without a complete reinstall of Windows?_

Did you delete those items or only their Start menu shortcuts?

Have you checked the Recycle Bin?

I also cleaned out the recycle bin. Believe I just eliminated the shortcuts
since I was able to use System Restore without replacing the missing shortcuts

=========================================================

To add Accessories again, follow these steps:
1.. In Control Panel, start Add or Remove Programs.
2.. In the left pane, click Add/Remove Windows Components.
3.. In the Components box, click Accessories and Utilities, and then click
Details.
4.. Click to select the Accessories check box, click OK, and then click
Next.
5.. Click Finish.
