How can I recover a subfolder that has disappeared?

I have lost a subfolder file from Outlook. and a subfolder disappeared. I am
using Microsoft Office 2003, SP1

is it in the deleted items folder? Do you see it if you use the folder list
view (Ctrl+6) ?
